This process may involve facial recognition technology that collects information from your image capture, including biometric data, to determine whether a photo you take matches the photo in your identification document. Biometric data collected through this process is stored by Veriff in accordance with Veriff's Privacy Policy (available at veriff.com) and is retained by us only until the initial purpose for which it was collected has been satisfied or within three (3) years of your last interaction with us, whichever occurs first, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
4. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION

(h) To send you promotional communications and marketing materials (where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law);
(i) To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements; and
(j) To enforce our Terms of Use, detect fraud or illegal activities, and protect our rights, property, and the rights and property of our customers.
6. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

Ordinarily, we will retain your personal information for up to twelve (12) months beyond any closure of your Customer Account, after which your information will be securely deleted or anonymized, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or fraud prevention purposes.
Biometric data collected through our KYC Verification process (including facial recognition data processed by Veriff) will be retained only until the initial purpose for collection has been satisfied or within three (3) years of your last interaction with us, whichever occurs first, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

(i) Inferences - profiles reflecting a person's preferences, characteristics, predispositions, or behavior.
11.2 Sources of Information
We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following sources:
(a) Directly from you, when you register for our services or respond to identity verification requests;
(b) Directly and indirectly from your activity on our websites and applications, including usage and log information, and device and connection information; and
(c) From third parties that interact with us in connection with the services we perform, including Veriff (identity verification) and Midsource.io (payment processing).
11.3 Business Purposes for Use
We use the categories of personal information described above for the business purposes set out in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy.
11.4 Your California Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA:

11.5 Exercising Your California Rights

Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. For your request to be verifiable, you must provide:
(a) Your full name;
(b) Date of birth;
(c) Residential address;
(d) Email address;
(e) Confirmation that you are a California consumer pursuant to the CCPA; and
(f) A description of your request with sufficient detail to allow us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
We will endeavor to respond to all verifiable consumer requests within 45 days. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period. Disclosures will cover the 12-month period preceding the request. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to verifiable consumer requests unless they are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
California Civil Code § 1542 Waiver - if you are a Customer who resides in the state of California, you waive your rights under California Civil Code § 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."
12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
